Make this Easy Easter Chicken

Writer's picture: judibreretonjudibrereton

This model measures about a metre square and took me about two hours to make. No glue, no mess! Very different from my usual display models which have a base of aluminium covered in papier-mâché and Gesso so take days to complete. It would make a lovely centrepiece for an Easter display inside or out. You can choose whether to paint the balls first or later. Skewering them makes the job less messy!

All you need are four polystyrene balls ( large for body, medium for head and small for the tail and feet). Feathers ( this model used two packets of feathers purchased from 'TEDI' for €1 a packet). The legs and connecting rods are wooden barbecue skewers. Fo4 strength I bound two together for the legs.
