I call these my ‘Happy Planters’ because I find decorating them at the end of a hard day very relaxing which, in turn, makes me happy. Also because I am reusing plastic containers which again makes me happy and, I hope, helps to keep the world happy. They also add colour and cheer to the garden .
I use the empty containers from distilled water . The kind we use in our air coolers. But there are quite a few household detergent bottles which could do the same job.

First I remove labels and wash.
Then I simply mark out my design and colour.
I use Acrylic Markers which are permanent for the design.
To finish I spray with Plastispray which protects and gives a lovely sheen.
Lastly I cut a section out of the top . I prefer to do this last because the container is more so,I’d and easier to colour before the section is cut out.

These markers are perfect to use on most surfaces. Great coverage and water resistant. I use them on my decorative plates and bottles For more ideas see my YouTube channel.
