There’s no stopping me now!

If you saw my squirrel plant holder in the previous post you will be expecting more of the same. You are correct but, like people, no two pieces of wood are the same. So my next couple of creations turned out to be tiny houses.

The top house required very little effort. I used brown pipe cleaners for definition around the door and the roof. A little hessian, a few leaves and a toadstoool were all the additions necessary.


I really went to town on the house below. There wasn't a plan. I just wanted to limit my materials and colour to neutrals. The idea came when I was found a string of dried garlic. I unwound two and attached the dried stems to the basic cylindrical log. The door is made from lolly sticks and the steps from tiny log slices as is the table. A tiny succulent is growing from the roof. The little red toadstool was added as a splash of colour.
